Tom Leykis Show 2.0 review Tom's personal Hail Mary

Tom Leykis is back after a 3 year hiatus I would call myself a 101 student.  His show has always been entertaining when he gets into the Leykisisms the bread and butter of his brand.  My only constructive criticism is his format needs to evolve, the endless ass kissing from listeners gets a little tired and the lack of celebrity guests lowers the entertainment value which at the shows current level is problematic.  Mr Leykis is trying to re-establish his buzz that's cool and all but I would like to see some new sh*t some growth I mean really 3 years is a  long time to hear the same thing we heard 3 years ago.

The Leykis show is offensive to women as a result NO WOMEN CALL IN it gets tired hearing guy after guy call in.  Its a locker room with almost homoerotic tendencies there are no woman on the staff too many damn dudes.

Tom needs to get more experts on the show and grow. Shows like Love Lines are great Dr Drew was a great host who didn't exclude he was an expert that could back up his advice with medical knowledge he had an endless well to draw from.  The Leykis show has an air of negativity a novelty which may be lethal to the show's future.  I think Tom should try to do more good for the community address issues like cancer take an interest in youth issues don't just write someone off--- offer alternatives as opposed to dismissing listeners that don't fit into the 101 values.

Now I will say that Tom Leykis is a pioneer with what he is doing, Mr Leykis is an out of the box thinker instead of selling out for an okay paycheck he's using his own resources to create an empire make no mistake Leykis is a creative talent to be reckoned with.  His tenacity is something to be admired and think it will open the door to many other names following his lead.  And what model is he following?  I believe he is getting help from top creative talents but once the bugs get worked out he'll have something special going on.

This new show is Leykis's personal Hail Mary it feels good hearing the take me outs again!

Project Ink Tattoo mini documentary

I finally finished my Project Ink documentary it was a nightmare because of creative differences and promises that never really came through so I decided to take matters into my own hands.  I had access to a fast Internet connection that speeds up the upload because the final edit came out to 25 minutes I ended up breaking it up into 3 parts. 

Ultimately I'm happy with it considering I made the best of the limited equipment at my disposal.  I'm also happy that I didn't make into something that it wasn't.  The footage I used is the best I shot we were originally supposed to shoot for a month but that was TOO AMBITIOUS for people who work a full time gig that wasn't possible and the fact that my producer didn't have personal transportation.

 Basically I got frustrated for carrying most of the weight and had to walk away..... but at least its done it'll be my last film for awhile because right now I'm going through tough times so until I buy another camera this is going to be it for now I look at it like most things in life as a learning experience.... turbulence indeed!

2012 Predictions and goals

I predict 2012 will be an interesting year I expect an onslaught of bad weather and  half-way decent films to come out.  However I don't expect Obama to win another term I would be overjoyed if he did but lets face it America is quick to put someone on a pedestal and then tear them down just as quick.  Trouble in Europe will effect the stock market big time save your money keep your job cause its gonna get rough when the GOP seizes control.

 Our technological gadgets will get us through most of 2012 On Demand and Netflix will do gangbusters business as America will opt to chill at home with a bottle of wine and a flat screen tv as opposed to going to see an overpriced movie that will be pirated before it come out.. all I will say is that comic book movies will be main draw in 2012... Avengers.... Batman cant wait.... Reality television will be our fun Wendy Williams will have a stellar year and I think America will tire of Kim Kardashian and gravitate towards Khloe and Lamar because lets face it there more interesting.... And as far as end of the world predictions I think its all nonsense the only thing for sure thats going to happen is more civil unrest between the rich and poor people will die but not in a World War 3 sorta  way.... I hope.

My personal goals is stay fit... stay employed...apply for more film jobs... leave LAX... Visit my hometown...get a better place to stay and save mucho $$$ and look into going back to school for my masters.... for real this time :-)

NBA prediction.....I think LA Clippers are gonna be that deal this year cuz they got Mr. Big Shot Chancey Billips!

follows.

INT. MEGAN’S BEDROOM

MEGAN JOHNSON

Daddy, daddy there’s someone in my

room he’s hurting me!

INT. JOHNSON HOUSE HALLWAY

Tate tries to open Megan’s door but rearranged furniture is

blocking it closed from the inside.

INT. JOHNSON HOUSE KITCHEN

A fog like mist manifests and begins to slowly creep

upstairs as the kids scream in terror and the dog barks.

INT. MEGAN’S BEDROOM

Tate manages to break down the door to find Megan covered in

bloody slashes.

INT. LISA’S BEDROOM

Kimberly opens Lisa’s door to find her being levitated

across the ceiling and then being thrown across the walls.

LISA JOHNSON

Mommy help me!

INT. LISA’S BEDROOM

Kimberly grabs Lisa’s hand and is literally in a tug of war

with an invisible force.
